The nonsensical ponderings of Eric Frisch...

2:20 AM.  2008 has officially arrived.  I rang the new year in tonight with some friends from church, and we had a very good time.

I've been blogging here at Mindsay for 4 years now, and I occasionally enjoy going through some of those 3 and 4 year old posts.  A lot has changed in my life since then... and a LOT has happened in the last year (big surprise).  Although I realize that 2007 was really no longer or shorter than any other year, it seems to have been about the shortest year of my life so far.  In the last year I've changed jobs (for the better), given my Junior and Senior recitals, played a TON of music, and so much more.  Even better, I feel like I've really drawn closer to God this year.  A lot has changed, and I'm definitely happy with the direction my life is headed in.

Of course, some things are sadly essentially the same.  This New Year's Eve was very similar to last year in the sense that it was spent with good people, but still a little lonely in a big sense.  Maybe that's something that will change for the better this year... I can only hope.

Either way, 2007 was certainly a good year.  Here's hoping that 2008 ends up being at least as good!  And to all my Mindsay friends, who I've been getting to know over the last 4 years or so, I hope that you have a Happy New Year!
