Well, here it is. My last weekend at home before I head back to school. I'm actually pretty excited. I like being home, but since the move, I don't really have any friends here in town, therefore I am most definitely ready to get back to Otterbein where I know some people!! Plus, I've got a great bunch of friends at school, so that rocks. Here's the recent recap on life:
Ashley came over last night. That was nice. We've gotten spoiled only being an hour away from each other for the last month. She's going with me tonight, but after that I won't see her for two weeks. That makes me sad. We will be fine, though, we just keep reminding ourselves that for the first two months of the summer, we lived 3 1/2 hours away.
Speaking of tonight: I've got a gig with Brandon tonight at Harvest Moon in Canal Winchester. It's going to be good to get out and play again, it has been a while. This is the first of a bunch of shows we have this fall. It's a very busy schedule. I have to bail on a couple of them that are during band camp, but there are still quite a few, and there will probably be even more as time passes. But yeah, get to get out some of the drums and roll over Columbus-way tonight, so that should be fun.
I haven't packed anything yet. Band camp starts on Monday and I haven't even really truly thought about what I have to get ready before then. It'll be okay though. It's going to be a little strange this year, because neither of my parents are going with me when I go to check in. Dad's coming up later in the week, though, since I can't possibly fit everything I need to take into the Olds in one trip. So he'll be bringing more stuff.
My interview is in less than a week. I'm a little nervous. I really want this job. So yeah, the interview is on Thursday, and then I'm going to try to go to church there on Sunday, just to get a better feel for what they do there, what kind of program and service I'd be getting myself into. I think that would be a good thing to do. If the interview really bombs, I'll go to the other church that I've been talking with about a similar position. So either way, it's gonna work out, I hope.
Well, time to start packing some stuff. Au Revoir!
