The nonsensical ponderings of Eric Frisch...

So today is better than yesterday was... and a big part of the reason is this: Last night, I said a pretty angry, deperate prayer, then left to brush my teeth. When I came back, I was all getting ready for bed and stuff when I just felt this sudden urge to read my Bible. This is what I read:

"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

"A river brings joy to the city of our god, the sacred home of the Most High. god himself lives in that city; it cannot be destroyed. god will protect it at the break of day. The nations are in an uproar and kingdoms crumble!

"God thunders, and the earth melts!

"The Lord Almighty is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress."

"come, see the glorious works of the Lord: See how he brings destruction upon the world and causes wars to end throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and snaps the spear in two; he burns the shields with fire.

"Be silent, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world."

"The Lord Almighty is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress."

That's Psalm 46, a chapter that has been popping up in my average life pretty often lately. Last night it was just what I needed. Here I am all depressed and nothing's going right and everything's falling apart, and then here comes God saying "Hey, I'm sovereign, I'm in control, and I'm going to work it all out for you." Isn't that cool? God's really good at giving me exactly what I need, exactly when I need it.

Other than that, not a whole lot of exciting stuff happened today... I just thought I'd share that. lol, this journal is starting to look more like a Bible study... not that that's a bad thing!
